I love talking about my job; I hate talking about myself. So here are a few quick things about me. In, out, nobody gets hurt.

 

I have been with SC Health Insurance since 2021!

I got my South Carolina Insurance License in 2023 to deepen my understanding of the health insurance industry. This step allowed me to be a better assistant to Jeff and enhance the quality of service I provide to all of you! 

 

I am a native Alabamian but attended university outside of Atlanta, GA, at Kennesaw State, earning a bachelor's degree in English. After moving to Charleston, I returned to school for my Master's degree; I earned an MBA with a specialty in Marketing from Charleston Southern University. In the summer of 2025, I was awarded my doctorate degree in the same. 

 

My young(ish), active, funny, intelligent husband suffered a stroke in 2021 (he's doing great now). I mention it here because it was a life-changing (and somewhat serendipitous) event for us both that brought me to this position. Not only did his stroke give me a greater appreciation for the smaller things in life, but it also gave me a massive appreciation for the services we provide at SC Health Insurance.

This is how I sum up my job—I learn the language of health insurance, so you don't have to! My job allows me to connect with people over what makes us human, vulnerable, and imperfect. If I can help take one worry off of your plate, then I am doing my job correctly.

I am an avid reader (fun fact - I have read The Great Gatsby 14 times!). I also spend time training for 5k races, traveling, watching college football, and spending as much time as possible with my 2 German Shepherds, Maverick and Phoenix, and two cats, Kitty Purry and Captain Jack Spurrrow.
